The second week of Studio II

Second week of studio II is where we going to fasting because it was in    the Ramadan month. Thank god because we supposed to go for sit visit based on the class outline is in the Ramadan but our kind Dr postpone the site visit and bring it to after syawal. If not I think we can't survive for the sit visit hahahah I'm joking. So, like usually I'm walking in the morning to the studio class with full of hoping that the day will going well and smoothly even we fasting. The traffic is a bit disappointed at the morning because there is contraction in the faculty road so having a traffic jammed at that time but we still come early in the class, we worried that we going to miss lesson but alhamdulillah all of us are stuck at the jammed and class start a bit late like around 5 minutes late. For that week we going to do revision on the planning guideline and standards, national and state planning policies, development plan preparation and process and the organization con chapter. For the evening class we going to have critical session on our development. 

Dr Wani are having a traffic issues since in the faculty road having a construction so while waiting for Dr Wani, Dr Zakiah was ask them about our special area on this sem which is Maran, Pahang. At first we all think that the special area that we going to develop is the whole site of Maran. We have some misunderstanding is actually on the Bandar Maran only. Dr Zakiah also share the clear view of Bandar Maran, how its look like and what are the elements there. Now we understanding about where is exactly our special area. We have done the technical report and we do have the theme of development which is AgroTourism because at first we thought that we have to develop the whole Maran and when we know the place we have to change the development because the site that we choose actually is the site with residential, eduction, transportation and the town of Maran. There is not the agriculture place. Is actually small matter because we do have time to change the development I mean we do have enough time to change it to the more suitable development theme.

The class with Dr Wani was started, Dr explain to use when we do a development we have to follow all the step of planning that must follow all the stage provided. Of course we start from the highest one which is in the National level. In the National level we have to understand all the content in the 12 Malaysian plan which was the latest one and there is new Malaysian plan are coming. The plan are renewed each 5 years. After the National level we go for the State level, in this case we have to refer for the state of Pahang because Maran are located at Pahang state and the last stage is the we have to refer the area itself which is Maran local authority. After done refer all those level we can do the develop based on their guideline. The things is why we have to see of those thing because the develop must tally with all the roles and the guideline because certain area they have specific development are provided. To be honest I'm still lack of knowledge about all the plan, file, guideline that provided, I think I have to start do some reading on it because we someone ask me about that I can't answer it with strong answer. They might be confuse when get my answer hahahahaha, I'll try my best to maximise my understanding on it. Dr Wani do ask several question on it and some question I can answer but some of it not, based on that I can measure my understanding because Dr's question is actually the important one that's why they ask us. Wherever my lecturer ask I will write down all the answer that they given because sometime we can't get the answer from any sources.

After down all the revision, lesson and explanation Dr Wani passing the floor to our leader to continue discuss about our project on the special area. There is several sector that we need to cover at Maran to get the data but after we end up with the exactly location which is Bandar Maran we have to change the sector because some on of are not related to the Bandar Maran. We do have 6 sector that we divided and the one sector are not suitable for Maran which is sector heritage because there is not too much elements that shows Maran one of the town of heritage. There have are sector that we need to separate such as Transportation and infrastucture since it was from the different scope of work and another one is environment and land use since enviroenemnt they have to do a lot of sampling and so on so it have to be one thing in the sector and land use they have to do several map and all about qgis, google earth to view the location. 

After done the discussion all group have to discuss about their sector what is all about and all the tools and equiqmnet that they want. Our group got the economic and demographic sector were we have to find the information about the background the population, their total of population and their main economic sector and too many thing about it. Thosini which is our leader also give the task to each group must provide one idea of objective to our project and one idea of development. Our group idea for objective is to enhance the visibility to the of Bandar Maran and the idea of development is to make the Bandar Maran Ecotourism. Each group have different idea and all of are available for the site so they have to discuss each of leader from the group with Thosini. Our group leader is Anthea, the one who typing at laptop on the photo that I share.

These photo shows all the leader from each group represent their idea and do discussion which one is super suit with our project. I think my group is on the list because Anthea is near with Thosini and they are best friend hahahaha joking again. Unfortunately the discuss is quite intense and we still did not get the last decision. The class for morning is end and the boys go to 'solat jumaat' and girls take a break for awhile.

The evening class was continued at 2:00 pm and it was the criteria session for our development. Dr is there to answer all question from us regarding the task. We do have discussion and question to Dr.We go back at 3:30 since its Ramadan all of us are busy want to prepare the meal for Iftar and also Dr. So the class continue next week <3
